Journal Writing Using A Blog
Teachers can use a blog for their students daily or weekly journal writing. Students can either write about any topic or the teacher can provide them with a topic. As they post their comments, other students in the class can read what they have written.

Book Study Using a Blog
After reading a book together, students can discuss the various characters in the book and the events that took place. Students can offer their opinion of the book and suggest alternate endings.

Podcasting
Students create a podcast telling about the biography of a famous person.
- student use the internet and books to research about a specific famous person of their choice

Science

Teachers can use a wiki to create a central "hub" of information.
- students go to the wiki to receive their instructions about a task
- students can edit the wiki and contribute to the content

Grade 2 Science Wiki Example

In this example, the teacher has explained a scenario to the group and posed questions for the students to answer.
Each group would be assigned a specific question and can answer it directly within the wiki.
